I have a thing for rappers. I have a bigger thing for indie rappers. There is just something so cool about weird music, awkward tempos, and RAPPING!
Joaquin Phoenix is the newest to the rapping industry. That's right. Mr. Ladder 49 decided to make the jump from the acting bandwagon to the rapping bandwagon. How legitimate do you think this is?
I found an article that speculated on different rapper names for Phoenix. There is Quin Money, Lil' Jo, MC Joaquin, but the best is Young Pheezy.
Any other ideas? I think I would go with Ying Yang Quin.
His debut was a fail of epic proportions. Check it out on YouTube:

It is to be noted that Casey Affleck is currently following Phoenix around to film his 'rise' as a rap star. I can only hope that this turns out to be a mockumentary of epic proportions, because he's gotta be one of the worst rappers I've ever heard.
ReplyDeletePhoenix' rap debut was a joke - and that's the news going around the internet. It seems, if the snitches are to be believes, that this "new career" is just a hoax. He's supposedly really starring in a documentary about a movie star who has a meltdown and reinvents himself as a rap singer. Casey Affleck is filming it. I hope it truly is a hoax because I've heard Phoenix rap and it is the worst I've ever heard, and in rap you can be quite bad or quite good. He takes bad to a new level.
