Back in 1992 or 1993, before most of the staff had started kindergarten, a young Jamie Lynn saved up her allowance to purchase a CD player and one CD to go with it: Billy Ray Cyrus's "Some Gave All," featuring the hit single "Achy Breaky Heart."

ReplyDeleteMay Day still has her Baha Men poster hanging on her wall.
ReplyDeleteMan, this is great! I'm glad you went to the effort to include the album covers -- the Smashmouth album cover gave me a good laugh.
ReplyDeleteI remember getting a CD player for Christmas and immediately buying the George Strait box set and Beck's "Odelay" on the same trip to Circuit City. Although, I'd like to think they rang up the latter first so I can claim that as the official first.
