If you haven't been brought to your front door by the knocks of canvassers urging you to vote early yet... well, you may be the only one. But the efforts to encourage early voting here in the triangle have taken a more enjoyable turn, and a turn away from your front door.
This Friday, October 26, Durham's Central park will host a midday early voting rally. The rally will kick off at 11am and will feature three amazing acts and delicious soup to warm your heart and soul. Mac McCaughan (Superchunk, Portastatic), the triangle's own Spider Bags, and Titus Andronicus will all play to urge potential voters to get out and vote early. If you missed Spider Bags at Kings on September 20, let's just leave it at you don't want to miss these guys again.
Early voting kicked off in NC on October 18 and will continue until 5pm on November 3. NC State's own Talley Student Center is an early voting location this year, but there are 20 other locations through Wake and Orange counties housing early voting this year. To find your early voting location, check out the early voting websites for Wake and Orange counties. And don't forget -- even if you've forgotten to register to vote here in NC, you can still register AND vote in one stop at early voting.

EOT96 UAB/IRC 7/31/12
For our first report this week, Jake brings us a bit of information on the brand new university organization, the Division of Academic and Student Affairs.
The IRC plays an important role here on campus, facilitating cooperation in between the different residencies. Deondre’ Jones went in search of what the ICR has planned for the upcoming school year.
If you've ever seen the movies at the cinema in Witherspoon, or any of the concerts they put on throughout the year, then you are familiar with the Union Activities Board. Andrew was curious about what kind of activities they're lining up for this year.
If you are currently out of work and you live in the Raleigh-Durham area, you are in luck. Kepplinger magazine recently named Durham as the second best city in the country to find a job.
The dark knight rises opened not long ago, to critical success. But with it came a tragedy still be felt across the country. Jake thought it would be nice to visit a time when Batman wasn't quite so dark.

EOT04 Raleigh v. Durham 9/14/09
Monday's episode of Eye on the Triangle focused on the Raleigh-Durham divide and how various people view the two cities, in addition to a couple of segments on SPARKcon, and more.

In this week's VIP segment, Adam Compton interviewed Durham Mayor Bill Bell and Caitlin Cauley spoke to Triangle residents Josef Komenda and Rachel Nabors. I also spoke with our resident Triangle expert, who many of you may remember as WKNC's general manager last year, Kyle Robb, about the history of the two cities and what he thought about Caitlin and Adam's interviews.

Jacob Downey sat down with the student of the week, Scott Richardson, former membership president of the N.C. State Chapter of Toastmasters. Richardson discussed his involvement with the organization and the leadership opportunities it provided him with.
