Smoking Ban Bill - Historically, tobacco has been one of the biggest cash crops here in the Tar Heel State.  From the Tobacco District in Durham to the American Tobacco Trail, it has played a large role in our history, including right here at N.C. State. Some student senators want to ban smoking on campus, so our contributor Andrew sat down with the senator that introduced this bill.

Disney Movies - Disney movies played a big role in shaping the childhoods of many of us here at EOT.  We discuss which ones are the best and belong in the top ten.

Greek Step Off - Greek life plays a prominent role on our campus.  Tomorrow night is the second annual Kappa Step Off presented by Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity.  Here's Rebekah with the step master of Kappa Xi.

Torture in America - Torture has often been a hot button issue in American foreign policy over the past decade.  Deondre' Jones sat down with a representative of NC Stop Torture Now to discuss the state of torture in the world today.

This week Andrew and Grant cover the smoking issue on our campus, Deondre' has a discussion about torture, and Rebekah covers the upcoming Greek Step-Off! It's going to be a great show, so tune in!

The Local Beat Preview 2/24/12

Tonight's Local Beat will be starting at 5 p.m. while we showcase some brand new tunes by musicians from our state.

At 6 p.m. the interviews will be starting up as we welcome Justin Robinson & the Mary Annettes onto the program for the first time. Justin is a Local Beat alum (his old band the Carolina Chocolate Drops visited our studio before) so we will welcome him back with his new group to chat about the band and their new album, Bones for Tinder. Justin is a highly entertaining and knowledgeable interviewee so I greatly look forward to hearing his thoughts on a variety of topics.

At 7 p.m. we are bringing in local ambient group Oulipo to talk about the band. As many of you know, I have been following Oulipo for sometime now so I am thankful to finally have them on the program to chat about their music and work.

Valentine's Day Soundbytes - Whether you love it or hate it, it seems everybody has an opinion on Valentine's Day.  New contributor Rebekah recently went out in search of what NC State students have on their minds.
